Harry D. Raker

Partner in Raker Appliance Co. I started my appliance repair business in 1968, doing work for many school systems and large commercial accounts. Our primary focus now in on local homeowners. I hold a BS in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. For many years we operated a Maytag Home Appliance Center in the shopping center at Merryman's Mill and Jarrettsville Pike. I was very active in training Scoutmasters in the Baltimore Area Council and Scoutmaster of Troop 444 for 10 years. Now in addition to working with my son, I train aspiring appliance repair businessmen all over the country.

Reid W. Raker

Co-Owner in Raker Appliance Co. Working with Raker Appliance since 2009 BS in Philosophy Towson University. I will be the one who answers the phone when you call. For those of you who are used to hearing Harry's voice, don't be alarmed. He is still here and doing well. However, he has gone on to share his knowledge with other people interested in starting their own businesses. I worked beside him for 2 years while I was in college, and taught me a great deal. He handed me his responsibilities in May, 2011 when I graduated from Towson University with a Bachelors in Science. I was born and raised in Baltimore County. I still live in Phoenix (Jacksonville), Maryland. I attended Carroll Manor, Cockeysville Middle School, and graduated from Dulaney High School. My father did not only teach me how to repair appliances. He made sure to pass on his strong beliefs about taking good care of our customers, and running an honest business. I stand by his beliefs completely. I do everything in my power to treat people fairly and provide reliable, dependable, honest service.
